#61: My First Red Dot: A Milestone at Holmfirth Artweek 2026
Holmfirth Artweek 2026 gave me a milestone I’ll remember for a long time. My original oil pastel piece of Castle Hill sold on the first day of the show, earning me my first ever red dot at an exhibition. I also sold one print, making the week feel like an important step forward in my journey as an artist.

One of my paintings, All That Glitters is Gold, is currently hanging at Holmfirth Artweek — a piece I haven’t even seen in person at the show. But this week, someone messaged me to say they had… and that it meant something to them. That small moment reminded me why I do this.
